Document management with upload, categorization, and search

Keep all collection-related documents organized and accessible. Catchpole’s Document Management system lets you upload, categorize, and track documents associated with claims and customers.

Document Types

Common documents you’ll manage:

  • Validation letters — debt validation notices
  • Payment agreements — signed payment plan documents
  • Correspondence — letters sent and received
  • Legal documents — court filings, judgments
  • Identity verification — proof of identity documents
  • Supporting evidence — invoices, contracts, statements

Uploading Documents

From the Documents page or a customer’s detail view:

  1. Click Upload Document
  2. Select the file (PDF, images, Word documents supported)
  3. Choose the document type/category
  4. Associate it with a claim or customer
  5. Add notes or description

Document Features

  • Search and filter — find documents by type, customer, or date
  • Preview — view documents inline without downloading
  • Version tracking — see when documents were uploaded and by whom
  • Audit trail — complete history of document access and changes
  • Bulk upload — upload multiple documents at once

Access Control

Document access respects your role-based permissions:

  • Owners/Admins — full access to all documents
  • Managers — access to documents in their scope
  • Collectors — access to documents for their assigned customers
  • Clients — read-only access to relevant documents
